Classes
We remind you the theme of the GSDF 2007 week end: Italian Mafia
Six levels of teaching will be available during the festival. Except for the two beginners levels, each level will offer approximately 10 hours of teaching including several interesting tasters.
Ourson (Cub) level :
You've never danced Lindy Hop before. There will be a few hours of teaching at this level during the week end (the detailed schedule will be available on-line two weeks before the festival).
You can only register for this level on the day of the course. The registration will not include the evening parties, so if you plan to attend these it is advisable to book them in advance by email.
Flocon (snow flake) level :
This is for Lindy Hop beginners who started in September/October 2007. You should have attended a few months of classes and know what swing outs, Charleston and 6 beat moves are.
This level will have a special reduced price that will be announced soon. It will include 6 hours of teaching and the evening parties. If you're interested in this level, mention "Flocon" in the comments section of your registration form.
1ère étoile (1 star) level :
You've been dancing Lindy Hop for at least a year. You have mastered the swing out and its variations, side to side and tandem Charleston, and a lot of fancy 6 beat moves.
2ème étoile (2 star) level :
You've been dancing Lindy Hop for at least two years. You have mastered the dance and dance socially very often. You occasionally visit other towns or countries for camps and workshops.
3ème étoile (3 star) level :
You're a hard core Lindy Hopper. You travel the world to perfect your style and meet teachers and bands. You probably teach as well.
The GSDF teachers will use what you know already to push back your limits.
Etoile Or (gold star) level :
This level will be selected from the best among the 3ème étoiles during the first class. This is the level for big shots. If you manage to get selected for this, your legs and brain will never forget it.
Evening Parties
We remind you the theme of the GSDF 2007 week end: Italian Mafia
This theme will be important during the saturday night party
Friday 16th November :
12 euros (included if your taking the classes)
social dancing with DJ's, preliminaries of Jack'n'Jill.
Saturday 17th November (Italian Mafia theme) :
20 euros (included if your taking the classes)
Malcolm Potter Big Band, Cabaret, final of Jack'n'Jill
Pass for Friday and Saturday parties : 30 euros
Sunday 18th November :
friendly meal to end the festival!
