TeachersAndy & Nina![]() Nina Gilkenson and Andy Reid hail from Washington DC. They are competitors, performers and teachers of Lindy Hop. Between them they can lay claim to more than 25 national Lindy Hop titles from some of the most prestigious swing dancing competitions in the world. Their classes focus on authentic Lindy Hop technique, musical interpretation and the history of the dance. Nina and Andy are two of the founding members of the Silver Shadows, a recently formed dance troupe that is collecting titles and crazy routines. For the first time together in France, it is our pleasure to bring them for the GSDF 2007. Henric & JoannaOriginally coming from Bugg, Boogie and Rock'n'Roll, Henric & Joanna have long since made a successful conversion to Lindy Hop. Many times Swedish champions, they placed second at the World Lindy Hop Championships in 2004. Thomas![]() Thomas has been teaching Lindy Hop in his club, the Apollo Jazz Cafe, for many years. He taught for the famous 'Tonton swingeurs' in Montpellier and next to the greatest during 'Sea, Sun and Swing'. He has travelled a lot and trained with the Harlem Hot Shots (ex Rythm Hot Shots) in Sweden. Alice & Dax![]() Alice is another regular in Grenoble. The former partner of Max, she's now teaching with Thomas in Montpellier and with Dax everywhere else in the world. For the Festival she will share her love of life between both of them. Andy & Christelle![]()
It is our pleasure to welcome this couple from Lyon back to a Grenoble Swing event for the first time in a while. Angela Andrew ("Cookie")![]()
