Andy & Nina

Nina Gilkenson and Andy Reid hail from Washington DC. They are competitors, performers and teachers of Lindy Hop. Between them they can lay claim to more than 25 national Lindy Hop titles from some of the most prestigious swing dancing competitions in the world. Their classes focus on authentic Lindy Hop technique, musical interpretation and the history of the dance. Nina and Andy are two of the founding members of the Silver Shadows, a recently formed dance troupe that is collecting titles and crazy routines. For the first time together in France, it is our pleasure to bring them for the GSDF 2007.

Henric & Joanna

Originally coming from Bugg, Boogie and Rock'n'Roll, Henric & Joanna have long since made a successful conversion to Lindy Hop. Many times Swedish champions, they placed second at the World Lindy Hop Championships in 2004.
This adorable couple has been dancing together for years. They often travel around Europe to teach, including the famous Herrang dance camp.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome them to Grenoble this year.

Thomas

Thomas has been teaching Lindy Hop in his club, the Apollo Jazz Cafe, for many years. He taught for the famous 'Tonton swingeurs' in Montpellier and next to the greatest during 'Sea, Sun and Swing'. He has travelled a lot and trained with the Harlem Hot Shots (ex Rythm Hot Shots) in Sweden.
During his travels he won the English Lindy Hop Championship and its Jack'n'Jill in 2002 and made it to the final of the World Lindy Hop Championship the same year in Stockholm.
A regular GSDF teacher, he is coming back this year to form a great trio with Alice Mei and Dax Hock.
We welcome him to Grenoble, where he will always be at home.

Alice & Dax

Alice is another regular in Grenoble. The former partner of Max, she's now teaching with Thomas in Montpellier and with Dax everywhere else in the world. For the Festival she will share her love of life between both of them.
Dax is an American teacher who spent two years teaching Lindy Hop in Japan. He has won many titles including the US championships in 2003.
We are delighted to bring these two great dancers to the 2007 GSDF.

Andy & Christelle

It is our pleasure to welcome this couple from Lyon back to a Grenoble Swing event for the first time in a while.
They teach Lindy Hop and Balboa all over the world and win trophies in both categories. At GSDF 2007 they will teach mainly Lindy Hop, with a little Balboa in "taster" classes.

Angela Andrew ("Cookie")

Cookie is an English dancer with a lot of energy. She teaches everywhere around the world, alone or with celebrities such as Skye Humphries and Steven Mitchell. It is our great pleasure to bring her to the 2007 GSDF.

The Grenoble Swing troupe

Regular teachers in Grenoble and its surroundings, the members of the Grenoble Swing troupe will (amongst a few minor tasks like organizing the camp) teach the "ourson" (beginners) level.
It is with evident pleasure that we welcome ... ourselves!!! ... to our own Festival and put our mug shots on the same page as those of the seriously cool Lindy stars above.
